IIT-JEE Main and Advance

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an engineering entrance examination conducted for admission to various engineering colleges in INDIA. It is constituted by two different examinations JEE Mains and JEE Advanced.

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority(JOSAA) conducts the joint  admission process for a total of 23 Indian Institute of Technology Campuses, 32 NITS(National Institute of Technology ) campuses, Indian Institute of Information Technology campuses, Indian School of Mines and other 19 Government Funded Technical Institutes(GFTI) based on the rank obtained by a students in JEE Mains and JEE Advance.

JEE Mains:

It has two papers, paper 1 and paper 2. Candidate may opt for either or both of them. Both papers contains MCQ’s. Paper 1 is for admission into B.E / B.Tech conducted only online. Paper 2 is for admission into B.Arch / B. Planning courses conducted offline.

From 2019 JEE Mains is conducted two times in a year and is it conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA).

JEE Advance:

Top students who takes the JEE Mains and qualify for the JEE Advanced examination. JEE Advanced 2020 will be conducted by Seven Zonal Coordinating IIT’s under the guidance of Joint Admission Board (JAB) within the principal organiser being IIT Delhi.
